Featuring
MARTIN ROTH
Berlin // Lunatique
In 2008 Martin Roth reacquainted the world with modern electronic trance soul, as his self-proclaimed NuStyle productions & distinctive DJ Sets took over control crossing generic boundaries.
“NuStyle” describes a combination of multiple influences throughout
trance, Progressive, Tech & Electro – creating a fresh sound ideal for the
Dancefloor & Radio / DJ Play across the barriers, with names such as
Chicane, AvB & PvD or German Chart-Toppers Ich&Ich or Rosenstolz all
personally requesting the MR- Remix Treatment.
Record sales proved him right as his Remix for “sensation seekers” became #1 in 2008’s Beatport sales charts and Martin Roth was crowned alongside Eric Prydz & Deadmau5 “Star of 2008” as well as nominated more than any other Act in their ’08 awards receiving 3 nominations. No surprise with 5 different #1 selling tracks on the Portal and an incredible 16 Top 10 singles.
FOREST GREEN
San Francisco // CuteThingsWithFangs.DalyCityRecords
Starting her DJ journey in the 1990's San Francisco underground, Forest Green continues to explore the art of rocking the dance floor, and mastering the mix. 13 years later, she continues taking things to the next level, amazing crowds with her high energy, hot bass lines, and soul gripping grooves. Featured in Groove the movie in 2000 on Sony Picture Classics, and tireless in her support of the party as an outlet for personal and artistic expression, Forest has rightly gained fame as a consummately professional DJ and live performer, earning the respect not only of her audience, but the promoters who work with her. Expect to hear only the freshest jamz, as she searches high and low for the most cutting edge, floor shaking, booty quaking EDM the world has to offer, and brings it straight to you! Forest is super excited to be working on her own electronic music production, sometimes under the name Forest Green, and sometimes under the name Cute Things With Fangs. Her most recent, original music productions will debut soon, bringing her back to Europe, Asia, and all over North and South America.
DJ ICON
San Francisco // IllevenEleven
Starting in 1996 at age 16, ICON diligently rose through the ranks of the San Francisco underground at a time when female DJs and promoters were few. In just a few years, her skills and growing reputation had already landed her numerous residencies in San Francisco, as well as a steady flow of multi-national bookings. ICON has also gained success in radio and television in addition to rocking dancefloors worldwide. Among her accolades is a spot in Shejay’s "Top 100 Female DJs" and being voted one of San Francisco’s best in the Nitevibe "Top 10 DJ Dreamteam" Poll.
Throughout her career, ICON has toured in countless cities throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe and Asia at world renowned clubs such as 1015 Folsom and Ruby Skye in San Francisco, Limelight in NYC, Fabric and Matter in London, and Avalon in LA; as well as massive festivals such as Coachella Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival, Burning Man and Fuel Festival in Singapore. ICON has shared the stage with major dance music players such as Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Ladytron, Paul Oakenfold, Adam Freeland, Armand Van Helden, Deekline & Wizard, The Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Evil Nine, Elite Force, Uberzone, Bassbin Twins, DJ Icey and many more top artists in the dance industry.
Besides her worldwide escapades, ICON is also committed to promoting her monthly event in San Francisco, Weapon of Choice featuring the best in local talent alongside internationally known Breakbeat, Tech-Funk and Electro House acts that include DJ Deekline, Bass Kleph, The Autobots, Splitloop, General Midi, Lady Waks, Ali B, Ed Solo, Keith Mackenzie, Worthy, Reid Speed, Carbon Community and more.
In addition to her reputation on the dancefloor, ICON has dominated the radio waves with residencies and guest spots on a plethora of popular long-running dance music programs such as Thump Funk on XM Satellite Radio and Boombox Mix Sessions on Sirius; Solid State on K-ROCK in NYC; IBreaks in the UK; and a myriad of shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, including House Nation on Wild 94.9 FM, Subsonic on Live 105, Zendada on Energy 92.7, and Future Breaks on KUSF. She has also made her way onto the small screen with two television series on major cable channels. In 2001, she was featured as one of twelve up-and-coming American DJs in "Disc Jockey," a 12-part documentary series that aired on Showtime and ShoNext. In 2004, she was cast as the DJ on the internationally syndicated MTV series "The Wade Robson Project," a dance competition hosted by the self-titled super choreographer.
As an integral member Sister - the influential female DJ collective from San Francisco - ICON has endeavored to help create a thriving DJ community for women in the dance music industry. In 2001, ICON also helped launch the New York City chapter of Sister. Returning to San Francisco in 2003, ICON established one of the last vinyl record stores, Reverb Records. In an era when record stores were becoming extinct, ICON catapulted the shop to success as it became an essential source for Breakbeat followers. Reverb was an important focus point in San Francisco DJ culture until its doors closed in 2007.
ICON’s highly anticipated production endeavors have proven to be as exciting as her DJ career. Her first release on Illeven Eleven Records “Welcome To My Dancefloor” is a collaboration with Dustin Hulton featuring vocals by Nikki Carabello and has been getting some serious heat and support by leading producers and DJs in the industry. So what’s next for DJ ICON? A promising slate of more productions and collaborations are in the works, as she continues to make her mark in the worldwide dance music industry as a triple threat DJ, promoter and producer. And if the last thirteen years have proven anything, 2010 will continue to bring big things from this driven and versatile performer.

BERNARD JONES
Los Angeles // LostMyDog.MuziqueBoutique.Kolour.Funkfield.MotionMusic
Bernard began his musical background at the age of five, where his Grandmother and Aunt insisted on his classical training in piano. Growing into a musical environment… Music became second nature to this young man. He stayed in the midst of music throughout his scholastic career, and ended up studying percussion under the tutelage of University of Missouri’s Percussion Director, Chris Hollyday at age 15.
Bernard Jones learned of the art of DJ-ing through the likes of local legends and he became such an apt student, that he began to surpass some in talent and technical knowledge in the art. From there most points become history, as Bernard began becoming involved with the Underground Electronic Music scene.
Immersing himself into the culture wholly, Bernard began evolving his presence in the industry and began to study the established artists of the day. There were some that after meeting Bernard began to help him further his career. His music production is influenced by many sources and is shown in the diversity of his catalogue. Genre has no meaning to a true musician, and Bernard reflects that. He has done original work in many styles such as, Breakbeat, Intelligent Dance Music, Drum and Bass, House, Techno and every sub-genre in between… However his House Music is what he is known the world over for. He has been signed to Kolour Recordings, Funkfield Recordings, Lost My Dog, Left Hand Man, Muzique Boutique and Motion Music. By the time of the printing of this article, he will have finished touring a majority of North America. Even with his remix skills and collaborative efforts under the belt, Bernard has a discography that other artist strive to achieve.
Recently, Bernard has paired up with a long-time childhood friend Brendan Woodard of American Idol fame, to create a new R&B House fusion of music that is becoming quite popular in the worlds taste of dance music. They have had an uncanny ability to go into the studio with a concept and leave with a complete project. Bernard explains, “We just know each other that well… On the ball court I could find Wood with a no-look pass from anywhere. It’s no different in the studio. We just know what we like and how to support each other’s talents.” With that said there is nothing to be left to question. This is a duo well in tune with their talents and abilities and convey that through music.
Bernard has released Tracks and Remixes under the names; Bernard Jones, The East St. Louis Players, Bomb Jack and Jailbait Jones, and has supported labels by doing remixes for various artists. However the main focus of his musical evolution is coming to rest in production, alongside of DJ performances. Bernard still maintains his amazing skill behind the decks, but as most visionaries do, he sees the future in creating his own sound.
